Day 4, Soweto gave me life!

On January 8th, it was the ANC political party, 105th anniversary, of the liberation movement. There was a ceremony held at the Orlando Stadium, that we didn’t make it to, but we made it for the festivities after. The streets of Soweto were packed! As soon as I got out of the car the vibe caught me immediately and I remember telling my cousin wow, I love it here, and he simply replied with a grin on his face, I knew you would! It’s that Soweto vibe.

I got to visit Mandela’s home which was so cool because I was able to view him in a different light outside of the man we have seen on TV.

Keep scrolling for pics from that day.

Hetep.
